The Collective Energy Facility in the Nonhyeon Housing Land Development District, the first turn-key project of its kind among the related plant facilities, has the main design concept of “a collective energy facility inside a park where human beings and nature coexist harmoniously”. Unlike other collective energy facilities, which usually tend to be of a monotonous nature, this one has been designed for easy public access by planning a gradually curved roof style using sea waves as a motif, chimneys designed after a lighthouse, an open external space, and exhibition and tour halls. A swimming pool and an observatory using the chimney structure were also added. It is expected that the Facility will become a new attraction in Incheon as the chimneys function as an observatory, for which a motif consisting of a torch has been designed.
