The IKP Building symbolizes the gateway to international business with the image of a ship advancing into the world, which has been designed to maintain a sense of harmony with its sponsor agency KOTRA building in flows, movement lines and appearance. Furthermore, the IKP has been designed to offer convenience to foreigners, its main users, providing 24 hours work conditions and ergonomic designs suited to their height and body size. The IKP has also been designed to promote Korean culture and to help foreigners feel at ease with Korean style spaces by using traditional Korean floor patterns on the lobby floor and an exterior landscape plan using a patchwork quilt as its motif.
